A group of Osborne Park locals are revolting against Main Roads, placing their own speed limit signs along Main Street after the authority refused to include the “unsafe” pedestrian area in a 40km/h speed reduction trial.  Community group, Main Street Co-op member Tania Pietracatella said locals erected the signs after becoming fed up of cars speeding through the business and shopping precinct area, which made it difficult to cross the road.  The 40km/h signs asking residents to ‘please slow down’ have been erected along Main Street.  Photo: Supplied She is part of a growing number of community members who want the Main Street strip between Eldorado Street and Cape Street, currently zoned 60 km/h, transformed into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly community hub. “The traffic … Next »
