Dell XPS 13 2-in-1: Hands on with a beautiful convertible

If you’re a Windows user, last year’s Dell XPS 13 was probably THE machine you really coveted. If what you really wanted was an XPS 13 that converted into a tablet, Dell’s just granted you a late Christmas present in the shape of the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1. Announced at CES 2017, the new XPS is thinner and lighter than its non-swivelling sibling, at 1.24kg compared to 1.29kg of the normal touchscreen XPS 13 and 13.7mm thick at its widest. Thanks to the use of Kaby Lake Core i7-7Y75 (capable of clocking down to a mere 1.3GHz) it’s also completely finless, which allows Dell to use thinner feet on the bottom of the machine. Screen and performance The result is a laptop which feels a little closer to to Apple’s …

Kaye started posting the autobiographical series online in late October. Domino's Is Training GPS-Equipped Reindeer To Deliver Pizza In Japan What if Santa brought pizza instead of toys? Domino’s seems to be trying to find out, at least in Japan, as a video released online shows the company training reindeer to deliver fresh, hot pizzas in snowy Hokkaido.  The reindeer are equipped with GPS units so customers can track their pizzas ― but the footage indicates the system still needs a little more work:  Domino’s said in a news release working with reindeer poses “unique challenges” but they are hoping to have the system up and running in early December. That means eventually, this could become a true Christmas miracle: The company said they’re expecting “severe cold” in northern Japan this winter due to La Nina, and that reindeer could help ensure pizzas are delivered even during...

Nigeria Explosion Latest Update: Boko Haram Blamed For Madagali Bomb Attacks As Death ... Two female suicide bombers killed at least 45 people Friday morning in a suicide bomb attack in territory claimed by the Boko Haram militant group in northern Nigeria. The motive behind the attack was unknown, but Boko Haram, which has waged a seven-year campaign against the Nigerian government, was immediately named as a potential suspect after recent violence in the region.  The women set off their explosives in a busy market, wounding at least 33 people, said Sa'ad Bello, of the National Emergency Management Agency. The Kerry backlash Maybe he intended to, or maybe it was inadvertent: Either way, Secretary of State John Kerry set off a firestorm in the United States and Israel, making it harder for both Palestinians and Israelis to reach an accommodation. Palestinians are already threatening to take members of the Israeli Defense Forces to the International Criminal Court. The very “right-wing” voices Kerry condemned will only dig in deeper, making any compromise that much harder. As House minority whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said in a written statement in advance of Kerry’s diatribe: “I urged the Administration to veto the recently passed U.N. Security Council resolution regarding Israel and settlements. Unfortunately, they failed to do so, and Israel’s enemies were strengthened.” He (unsuccessfully) urged Kerry...
